International Participation Strengthens Cachoeiro Stone Fair as a Strategic Platform for the Stone Market

The presence of international exhibitors, buyers, and visitors at the most traditional natural stone fair, the Cachoeiro Stone Fair, highlights Brazil’s growing interest and potential as a strategic hub for business in this industry. This trend expands business opportunities and promotes an exchange of technologies and trends, strengthening Brazil’s global positioning in the natural stone market.

“We are witnessing increasing interest from international companies, underscoring the importance of Cachoeiro Stone Fair. Each year, the fair solidifies itself as a strategic platform for business expansion, both for local companies and for international brands looking to enter or strengthen their position in the Brazilian market,” says Flávia Milaneze, CEO of Milanez Milaneze, the company that organizes the fair.

This year, the fair featured exhibitors from Turkey, China, Italy, and Spain, marking a significant presence of foreign participants.

For Emre Kirca, CEO of the Turkish resin company Safir Epoksi, the fair represents an opportunity to connect with new partners and explore opportunities in the Latin American market. “For us, it is a valuable opportunity to expand our business and learn about the trends in the Brazilian market,” he said.

Summer Su, sales manager of Xiamen Earten Pegasus, also emphasizes the company’s interest in expanding its operations to Brazil. “We are looking to strengthen ties with the Brazilian sector and explore new possibilities for collaboration,” she commented.

Business Rounds

International buyers from countries such as the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and India also visited the stand of the “It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone” program for business rounds with Brazilian companies. The Brazilian Center for Ornamental Stone Exporters (Centrorochas) promoted the action in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) under the Exporta Mais Brasil program.

English businessman Ankur Gupta shared his satisfaction with the results achieved during the event: “I gained many suppliers and a lot of experience, especially with the factory visits and the business roundtable. It was an enriching experience, and I plan to participate again in the future.”

For Jay Sethia, an American executive from Pomograniti, the opportunity to connect with suppliers was the highlight of the experience. “We participated in several meetings, which I found excellent. It was very beneficial to talk with the suppliers to better understand them and for them to understand us. In the end, this experience was surprising and rewarding,” he said.

The program also offered an immersive experience at the Cachoeiro Stone Fair for international opinion leaders, including journalists and influencers from the United States, Turkey, and Lebanon.

In addition to visiting the fair, they toured quarries, industries, and showrooms, where they could closely observe the extraction, processing, and application of natural stones.
