Quartzite: From Brazil to Abroad, the Stone of the Moment Combines Versatility, Sophistication, and Elegance and Can Be Seen at the Cachoeiro Stone Fair

From simplicity to luxury, quartzite has stood out as the natural stone capable of bringing warmth and grandeur to various architectural and design projects. Whether as a structure, flooring, countertops, panels, furniture, or highlight elements, it offers many application possibilities, adding lightness, finish, and sophistication. Thus,it is the stone of the moment from Brazil to abroad.

“Quartzites have an impressive variety of textures, finishes, and colors, ranging from white to black, including yellows, blues, greens, pinks, browns, greys, and even translucent ones. Moreover, they are highly flexible in terms of application as they combine the best qualities of natural stones: more resistant than granite and aesthetically exuberant like marble,” commented architect Lais Arêas.

Additionally, Brazil is the world’s largest producer of quartzites, with this material representing 48.8% of ornamental stone exports, followed by granites (41.1%) and marbles (7.8%), according to data released by the Brazilian Center for Ornamental Stone Exporters (Centrorochas).

The Stone of the Moment

The impressive aesthetics and application advantages make quartzites the favorites of the domestic market and international buyers. Used in floors, walls, panels, countertops, sinks, bathtubs, and furniture, they are synonymous with sophistication and elegance in projects worldwide.

“In addition to the diversity of colors and vein movements, quartzites accept various types of finishes – polished, honed, brushed, flamed, or raw – that enhance the undeniable beauty of natural materials. The rock can also be sculpted, allowing for the creation of personalized and unique projects,” emphasized architect Lais Arêas.
